From Home, From a Moment
We started it at home, noticing something that probably feels familiar to you too. In the same living room , the same evening, the same family — but everyone on a different screen. One person scrolling on the phone, one gaming, one watching, one working. We were together, but not really with each other.
We kept asking ourselves: how could we be in the same room, but feel so disconnected from each other? And as parents, we realized we didn’t always understand our children as well as we thought we did.
We realized the problem wasn’t screens themselves. It was how they separated us. Most games are designed for individuals, for controllers, for skill levels that don’t match. Someone plays, others watch. Someone wins, others wait.
A Simple Question
So we asked a simple question:
Was there a better way for families to truly be together? What if play didn’t need a controller? What if it only needed us to stand up and move — together?
How HUUCH Was Born
Over the past few years, we’ve done a lot of research and talked with many families. We discovered that physical movement and touch, like giving each other a hug or a high-five, are the most direct ways to feel connected and create real emotional bonds. When you combine that with the fun of play, motion games become the perfect way to bring families together.
And that’s how HUUCH was born.
We didn’t just want to make another game. We wanted to create a way for families to be together and enjoy high-quality family time. A way where laughter, movement, and shared moments replace screens and silence.
Games Designed for Families
To bring this idea to life, we put a lot of thought into designing our motion games. On one hand, we combined physical movement with play in a way that’s easy to use, encouraging kids to get off the couch and away from their iPads, moving willingly and getting exercise while having fun.
On the other hand, we designed rich animations, a variety of game characters with different personalities, and game content full of challenges and stories. We made sure that all the games are family-friendly and safe for children. We considered children of different ages, whether 3 to 6 or 7 to 12, so they could play different games, or compete and cooperate in the same game and actually move while playing.Our hope is that, through playing, children can learn courage, overcome challenges, and learn to love and share.
Moments That Bring Us Closer
When the HUUCH Box arrived in homes, parents and children started playing together. We witnessed so many precious family moments: awkward movements, missed beats, high-fives after completing a challenge, the courage to try again after failing, laughter so big that the game had to pause, and countless little surprises that made each moment unforgettable. Parents discovered that their kids could be the experts, and kids realized for the first time that parents could be fun teammates too.
This is what we believe: when we play together, we become closer.
